I just got an Antec Sonata II and fingerprints are pretty bad after assembling it, Whats everyone use to get rid of fingerprints on high gloss cases? Wood like a dusting spray do the trick?

Windex and a 100% cotton shirt.

I would use a microfiber pad, like those that you use to clean camera lenses. I'm really bothered by stuff that leaves lint when I wipe something down.

Can't beat Pledge Furniture Polish!

Works great on TFT/LCD screens too... :)

Leave the noobs alone, Vin... ;) A lint-free, soft cloth with rubbing alcohol. Windex would probably work but it also has ammonia in it so I wouldn't use it on an unknown surface. I'd probably use cheap car windshield washer fluid (ingredients only alcohol, water and colorant) diluted half and half with distilled water ( a gallon of either is cheap at WalMart). What you need is to cut the skin oils in the fingerprints. A few drops of mild detergent in a cup of distilled water would do it too, but it's not self-drying.

QFT. I just use a lint-free cloth - the same type on use on my $1500 camera's lenses.

scratches.... *shudder*

I have a few of those on my anodized 3D aurora case, I try to be careful when moving it but somehow I still manage to nick it up :(

A coupla years ago back when Coolermaster was still making high-end aluminum cases, I contacted their TS regarding how best to clean the anodized aluminum. They recommended using "super orange cleaner", aka the concentrated orange cleaner/degreaser that you can buy just about anywhere. Really does work well, esp. with oily prints, residues, etc. I usually mix it about 8 parts water to 1 part cleaner. I clean the case with this solution, then re-wipe the case using just water as a "rinse". Finally, as someone else mentioned, use of a microfiber cleaning towel is a good idea if you have a nice finish to worry about.

Don't TOUCH the case with your greasy fat porkchop hands!!! Put on gloves before touching it :p

And shoot anybody trying to touch it :)

Heh!

Why are ppl so paranoid these days - distilled water - lint-free microfiber wipes, et cetera?

I mean, damn! They wear crash helmets riding bicycles these days... SUP with that?

Exactly!

This is the 21st century... :D

Gah same problem. Wonder how much it would cost to powder coat the case...I've been thinking about it.

I wiped the fingerprints off my laptop this morning using nothing but my gym shorts (too hot for PJs) - worked great!

Might be kind of tricky with my U2-UFO, Mr. Bean style...

My snoopy neighbors would probably call the cops! :)

Microfiber cloth! Even a tshirt will leave fine scratches in a shiny, delicate paint job.

Badge of Courage, no?

Ever see a guy with a new "Crotch Rocket" scuff up the pegs and bodywork with a rasp, to make it look like he fell down a few times?

No? Don't even know what I'm talking about?

There's no shame in a few fine scratches...

n/m :D

For the most part, those guys are idiots. Especially when they pull that crap on the streets. Squids are what we call them.

My badge of courage is to have the tires scuffed all the way up the sides from cornering at the track or have my knee pucks scraped. Not to have the plastic destroyed from stupid stunting.

Use Zaino AIO and then use Z5. Use microfiber to buff.

You don't need to constantly fondle your computer case except for the plastic door.

I'm actually having to write a formalistic criticism right now... I really hate this man's style of writing.. Never liked anything he wrote.

Think about it...

I don't care what sport you're talking about... baseball, basketball, football, hockey, even "motor racing"...

When it comes right down to it, taken to its ultimate conclusion, everything turns into a fist fight, yes? A boxing match...

Might as well get it on, IMHO :D

I'll take a top MMA fighter any day over a one-dimensional boxer.
